My books combine reality and fantasy and sometimes it is difficult to identify where the limits are. My illustrations are anyhow quite simple. Either insinuated backgrounds in pencil while the main characters are worked in full color or the other way around, black and white with a few colorful details in the background.

An anecdote: “The late afternoon of 24 of July 1969 will always stays in my mind. The Apollo mission to the moon just ended and returned to the earth. I witnessed, while on the terrace of my house, the landing module (imagine, perhaps?) crossing the clear and blue sky to his final destination, the Pacific Ocean. A dream vision that still follows me. Maybe that explains why the moon is always present in my work.

The moon in all possible styles, a half moon, a full moon, a red moon… in color pencils and graphite or ink and computer.
